—Victor’s Italian Restaurant Among 3,776 Winners; Awards Program for World’s Best Wine Lists Pays Tribute to Resilience of Restaurant Industry Amid Global Pandemic—

Victor’s Italian Restaurant has been honored for its outstanding wine program in Wine Spectator’s 2020 Restaurant Awards. The annual program, which recognizes restaurants around the world as the top destinations for wine lovers, successfully moved forward this year despite the effects of COVID-19.

This year’s Wine Spectator Restaurant Award program celebrates restaurants’ resilience, dedication and bravery during these unprecedented times,” said Marvin R. Shanken, Editor and Publisher, Wine Spectator. “We hope that all of our award winners and the people who make them special will find their way through the crisis to once again welcome us through their doors. We look forward to raising a glass together, and to new beginnings.”

“We’re excited to receive this award for the second year in a row. It’s great that a restaurant like Victor’s in a smaller market like York, PA can get this nod and we’re happy to share the distinction with our friends at the Handsome Cab,” said Mark Sindicich, who co-owns Victor’s with his wife, Marie. “During this challenging time of restricted capacity and changing mandates we’re pleased to offer patrons great wines for carry out for all palates and price points. We continue to expand our wine offerings and seasonal menus as we host guests at outside dining and indoor limited capacity dining.”

Wine Spectator began its program to recognize the world’s best wine lists in 1981. There are three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand Award—with 2,289; 1,387; and 100 winners this year in each respective category.

Victor’s has won the Award of Excellence. This award recognizes restaurants whose wine lists feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.

Follow the Restaurant Awards on Twitter and Instagram, with hashtag #WSRestaurantAward, and at the newly refreshed, user friendly WineSpectator.com/Restaurants, where all winners can be searched by location and sorted by factors including name, distance, award level, cuisine and pricing. Wine Spectator’s special Restaurant Awards issue—which features Chef José Andrés on the cover—becomes available to readers July 14.

The unveiling of the 2020 award winners follows up on the Wine Spectator Scholarship Foundation’s contribution of $250,000 in April to World Central Kitchen, led by José Andrés. The donation helped support the charity’s mission of feeding those in need, a cause all the more urgent amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

About Victor’s Italian Restaurant
A neighborhood staple since 1984, Victor’s has evolved into a perfect reflection of an Italian Trattoria. Although, the quality of food, thoughtfulness of the service, and the caliber of wines, beers, and cocktails may hint at a more upscale Ristorante, Victor’s remains a cozy local spot that’s perfect for any occasion.
